Refund Policy
In short
- Crumble Bar and Crumble Snap are free to try for 7 days before you pay, so please use the trial to make sure the app suits you.
- If the app is faulty and we cannot fix it, you get a refund. Consumer law guarantees always apply in full.
- Change-of-mind refunds are not standard, but ask us; accidental purchases, duplicates, and unwanted renewals reported within 14 days are refunded.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method through Stripe.
1. Try before you buy
Apple Crumble offers a 7-day free trial of Crumble Bar and Crumble Snap, with no card required. The trial exists so you can confirm the app works on your Mac and fits how you work before paying. Because of this, we generally do not offer refunds for a simple change of mind, but we do refund generously in the situations below.
2. Your statutory rights come first
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If the app has a major failure, you are entitled to a refund or replacement of your choice, and to compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure is not major, we are entitled to fix it within a reasonable time, and if we cannot, you are entitled to a refund. Consumers in other countries keep any equivalent non-excludable rights under their local law. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.
3. Faulty or not as described
If the app does not work as advertised on a supported system (macOS 14 or later on Apple Silicon), contact us with a description of the problem. We will try to fix it. If we cannot provide a fix or a workaround within a reasonable time, we will refund your purchase in full. This applies to both subscription and one-time purchases.
4. Change of mind
Because the full free trial lets you evaluate everything before buying, change-of-mind refunds are offered at our discretion rather than as standard. If you bought by mistake, or the purchase was very recent and you have barely used the license, email us within 14 days of purchase and we will look at it sympathetically. If a change-of-mind refund is granted, the license key is deactivated.
5. Subscriptions and renewals
- You can cancel your subscription at any time via the Stripe customer portal link in your receipt emails, or by emailing us. You keep access until the end of the period already paid.
- Partial or pro-rata refunds for the unused remainder of a subscription period are not provided, except where consumer law requires them.
- Unwanted automatic renewals: if a subscription renews and you did not intend it to, contact us within 14 days of the renewal charge and we will refund that renewal in full.
- Duplicate subscriptions or double charges are always refunded.
6. EU and UK customers: right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from an online purchase. Licenses are digital content delivered immediately: by completing checkout you request immediate delivery of your license key and acknowledge that, once delivery has begun, you lose the statutory right of withdrawal to the extent the law allows. Where the waiver does not apply, we honour the withdrawal right in full, with reimbursement within 14 days to your original payment method. Your separate statutory remedies for defective digital content are unaffected.
7. Duplicate or accidental purchases
Bought the same license twice, purchased the wrong plan, or been charged in error? Contact us within 14 days and we will refund the duplicate or mistaken charge in full, or swap you to the plan you intended.
8. Discontinuation and future updates
As set out in the Terms of Service, the app may be modified or discontinued at any stage, and future updates and support are not guaranteed. A purchase buys the software as it exists at the time (plus, for subscriptions, service for the period already paid, and for one-time licenses, any update entitlement described at checkout). The absence of future updates or features is therefore not by itself grounds for a refund, except where consumer law provides otherwise.
9. How to request a refund
- Email hello@applecrumble.tech from the address you used at checkout.
- Include your receipt number or license key and a short note about why you are requesting the refund. For faults, a description of the problem helps us fix it or confirm the refund quickly.
- We aim to respond within a few business days. Approved refunds are issued through Stripe to your original payment method and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days. Any tax charged is refunded with the purchase.
Refunded license keys are deactivated once the refund is issued.
10. Chargebacks
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank; almost every issue is faster to resolve directly. Charges that are disputed or reversed result in the associated license key being deactivated.
